New logo for Istanbul’s official tourism brand.
THE BRIEF
Design a new, evolved logo for One Istanbul, Turkey’s official tourism organization dedicated to marketing the City of Istanbul, to entice even more international travellers to visit Istanbul.
MY VISION
Inspired by the historic Galata Tower, located in the heart of the city, this iconic landmark not only dominates the Istanbul’s skyline, but also offers an unmatched panoramic view.
EXECUTION
I had designed two concepts that encompassed my vision. The first combined Galata Tower, a location marker and the famed sunset over the Golden Horn, into a simple mark. The second, drew inspiration from Galata Tower, the span of the Bosphorus Bridge, and the letter “O” to represent two continents in one city.
