THE BRIEF
Redesign The Business Year’s annual, country-specific publications to accompany its editorial overhaul.

MY VISION
Analyze trends in the publishing industry to create a modern, sleek, and minimalist approach to attract a global audience.

EXECUTION
To achieve this, it meant simplifying the layouts by removing distracting design elements and maximizing white space. By considering all types of possible content, the new templates were structured around a grid system to create highly flexible and adaptable layouts. Color was to be used sparingly, by only allocating two strong colors to use as an accent throughout. Opportunities to include more enticing photography were created to break up the text-heavy layouts and draw the reader deeper into the publication. Elements of consistency were integrated throughout the design, from cover to cover.
